At this point in his life when he’s not feeling the need to do anything too “acty”, Michael Douglas has, according to the folks at Comingsoon.net, joined the cast of the Mark Waters directed rom com GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST. Waters apparently spilled the beans during a press conference for the fantasy adventure he directed, THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES. The film stars Matthew McConaughey as a womanizer who attends the wedding of his younger brother (Meyer) and bride (Chabert) and finds himself haunted by the titular girlfriends, one of which takes the delcious form of Jennifer Garner. Douglas plays an old time playboy who guides McConaughey through this troubling supernatural experience and likely attempts to get him to change his lothario ways. The film’s set for release February 6th, 2009.
