Alan Ball has one of the best track records in Hollywood. Anyone that can claim both AMERICAN BEAUTY and SIX FEET UNDER to their credit is doing something right. With those two projects under his belt, how can his new film TOWELHEAD not make waves? The film had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival under the title NOTHING IS PRIVATE and was easily one of the most controversial films to screen there. The plot is vintage Ball: A young Arab girl is sent to live with her strict father in Texas during the first Gulf War, and must adjust to his lifestyle (whatever that means) and deal with racist classmates. She also becomes obsessed with her neighbour, a bigot played by Two-Face. Check out the poster BELOW.
