The super talented writer-director-producer Judd Apatow of THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN and KNOCKED UP, and producer of SUPERBAD and TALLADEGA NIGHTS: THE BALLAD OF RICKY BOBBY, has rightfully become known as the king of contemporary comedy. Reuniting with his writer from TV series UNDECLARED and FUN WITH DICK AND JANE, Nick Stoller jumps on the Apatow wagon to make his hit directorial debut with the latest comedic flick, FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL.
Based on a struggling musician Peter (Jason Segel) who gets dumped by his longtime girlfriend and TV star Sarah (Kristen Bell), the film takes us on a comedic rollercoaster ride as Peter finds himself vacationing at the same resort as his ex and her new rocker beau. When I recently met up with Stoller and Apatow in Oahu, they showed some love for Joblo.com before chatting about their collaborative efforts in making FSM, relating to the film and working together on future projects. Check out what they had to say.
