Ice Cube doesn’t know if or when an A-TEAM movie will get made but he does know one thing for sure: if it does he better be playing B.A. Baracus. “Man, I am so ready to play B.A. Baracus,” Cube told the LA Times. “I really want it to happen and it’s the thing we’ve been talking about lately,” Cube says of his discussions with director John Singleton. Of course because every movie has to make reference to THE DARK KNIGHT, Cube says that they’re taking their inspiration from what Christopher Nolan was able to do with the Batman franchise. “I always look at how…they upgraded Batman from what it was not that long ago.” Cube certainly has some ideas on the character including the surprising lack of B.A.’s gold chains. “I don’t know about that,” said Cube dismissively on the blingage issue. The movie has been in development for a while but could gain some heat with the writers – Michael Brandt and Derek Haas – hot off the success of WANTED. Both Bruce Willis and Woody Harrelson have been rumored to be attached to the film but as Cube says, “everything is in limbo.”
