Pena in Hornet?

While doing press for his upcoming film THE LUCKY ONES, Michael Pena revealed that Seth Rogen has offered him a role in the upcoming THE GREEN HORNET film, which Rogen wrote and will star in as the titular character.

Although Pena would not specify which role he was offered, one would assume it is a major one, as Pena’s star continues to rise, and rightfully so. Just recently it was announced that Stephen Chow will direct the film as well as take on the role of Hornet-sidekick Kato (originally played by Bruce Lee). THE GREEN HORNET, which according to Pena, Rogen is still in the process of writing, is scheduled to be released on June 25th, 2010. I still have trouble wrapping my head around Rogen as a superhero, but with the Chow announcment and now this, I must say–so far so good.
