Pirates 4 coming!

Apparently Disney just backed up the Brinks truck to the Johnny Depp residence and unloaded an insane amount of cash. Hot off the news that Depp has signed on to star in the Disney films ALICE IN WONDERLAND and THE LONE RANGER (as The Mad Hatter and Tonto respectively), comes confirmation this morning that Depp has signed on to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a fourth PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie. The announcement was supposed to be revealed at yesterday’s Disney press event but Depp’s appearance was so cryptic – Depp shows up at the end in full Capt. Jack regalia with a Lone Ranger mask – that we weren’t sure what to think. But Variety confirmed this morning that Depp will be starring in PIRATES 4 though no other information is available. I would imagine that if Depp returned so would Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley and director Gore Verbinski would as well but no word on that yet.
