Sam Worthington, the hottest actor that nobody knows, has signed on to yet another project. The actor will co-star with Helen Mirren in the upcoming thriller DEBT. The film, a remake of the Israeli film HA-HOV, follows two Mossad agents hunting a Nazi war criminal. The script was written by Matthew Vaughn (LAYER CAKE, STARDUST) and John Madden (the SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE guy, not the “Madden ’08” guy) will direct for Miramax. Worthington’s deal for DEBT comes as he negotiates a contract for CLASH OF THE TITANS and has TERMINATOR SALVATION and AVATAR still on the way. Miramax will also be releasing LAST NIGHT where Worthington co-stars with Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes. Worthington aside, I’m pumped to see a sexy Helen Mirren kicking Nazi ass. Now that’s a movie I can get behind. No word yet on when filming on DEBT might begin.
