Clive Owen is attached to star in the upcoming dramatic thriller CARTAGENA for bazillionaire producer/basketball owner Marc Cuban. Set up at Cuban’s 2929 Productions, the film will star Owen as a federal agent undercover in a Colombian drug cartel who is attempting to escape with his life. The film will be written by Michael Ross who last brought us the unfortunate thriller TURISTAS. Owen has another international thriller on the way titled…THE INTERNATIONAL and also plays a former government agent in DUPLICITY. For a guy who didn’t want to be James Bond, he likes playing government agents… CARTAGENA is still in the very nascent stages of production so it’s unclear when filming might begin. Owen is currently shooting THE BOYS ARE BACK for director Scott Hicks (NO RESERVATIONS) and Miramax.
