Jenkins joins Roberts

I’ve slept with over 650 women since 2006, and at least half of them had Elizabeth Gilbert’s best selling memoir “Eat, Pray, Love” close to their shitters, crowning their stack of US Weeklies like some sort of a holy relic. After spending 110 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list, and inspiring women world over to ditch their miserable lives by embarking on a journey of enlightenment across the globe, it’s no wonder Sony is salivating at the notion of turning this puppy into a feature film; as a star vehicle for Julia Roberts no less.

And who better to help tell this tale of emotional survival than Richard Jenkins, the newly-minted Oscar nominee and Hollywood’s “Next Big Thing”. Jenkins will play a Texan whom Roberts’ character befriends at an Indian ashram. And if you think you might have trouble picturing Roberts with a man who lacks a perfect jawline, I have two words for you: Lyle Lovett.
