Rock is Nemo?

UPDATE – McG denies the rumors below and says he never talked to Dwayne Johnson about the role.

McG has been pretty vocal about his desire to have Will Smith star in his upcoming Disney flick 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA: CAPTAIN NEMO, but it looks like he may have to settle for The Rock. It’s being reported that Dwayne Johnson has been cast in the underwater epic as the adventurous captain who goes on a search for a lost civilization that holds vast amounts of knowledge as well as a weapon that has the power to destroy mankind. Hmm, sounds like Cleveland.

The studio is looking to begin production on the film this year in Australia, and if Johnson has indeed been cast, than that would make him Disney’s biggest and most consistent star since Mickey Mouse himself.
