Remember that loveable, portly Italian plumber from your childhood? You know, the one that eats more mushrooms than your depressed little brother while in search of his damsel in distress. Me neither. Maybe the reason so many of us stopped playing Mario games, is their utter lack of grit or realism. Looking at the video game landscape these days, that indeed does seem to be the name of the game.
