The trailer for the Coen Bros. latest film A SERIOUS MAN is online and it’s already one of my favorite trailers of the year. Who knows what the film will bring (the trailer sells it as a typical dark Coen comedy) but the trailer itself is constructed so well, I’m already interested.
The movie follows a Jewish man in the 70s whose wife is leaving him, whose daughter is ripping him off, whose son is failing Hebrew school, whose brother is moving into their house and whose job is being sabotaged. Sounds like a Coen Bros. comedy! There’s even a scene with Rabbis spoken entirely in Yiddish for a little extra comedic umph. Check it out below or head to Apple’s trailer page to see it in HD.
