If Variety wants to keep their readership once they convert to a paid service, Jason Bateman has a little piece of advice: avoid fabricating.
The trade reported earlier this month that director Peter Berg confirmed his involvement in HANCOCK 2, and that all 3 stars of the original were signed to reprise their role. Only thing is, no one told Bateman.
“It’s surprising to me that Variety would write that story because they’re usually pretty well vetted before they report something and that was completely false“, the actor told Coming Soon yesterday. “No one has contacted me or anybody that represents me to ask if we were interested. I would love to be a part of the film, but I haven’t heard anything about it.”
A little more interesting though is the man confirming that the long-promised ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT feature film is finally taking shape. For real. Hopefully.
“It’s still being written and my guess is that is will be shot some time next year,” he offered, “and then for however long things take to get cut and marketed, so maybe the first part of 2011 I would imagine. That’s just a guess.” Wasn’t that thing held up because of Michael Cera? Don’t pee off Jason, dude. You’ll be hearing about it!
