Die-hard fans of Captain America who’ve been jonesing for his own film (a good one, that is, ’cause…yeah...) will be in for a treat, apparently. Can’t say what kind of treat, but Marvel’ chief editor Joe Quesada says you are. Ready to believe him?
Handling his own little Q&A last weekend at the Big Apple Comic Con, Quesada started off with a “no-comment” quick dismissal on the Disney purchase thingie, then went off into the good stuff, notably gushing out on what’s ahead for Captain America on the big screen.
“I’ve seen a couple of outlines and an initial screenplay, and it’s going to rock everyone’s socks off,“Joe said as reported by the folks of Comic Book Resources. “It’s very unexpected, the kind of movie it is,”he expressed before adding that the people behind it have an “undisclosed” wish list of actors. Can we disclose our wish list of directors, ’cause Joe Johnston, aside from OCTOBER SKY, ya know…
Quesada also mentioned he knows nothing about Spidey 4 (being that it’s with Sony) but is a huge Sam Raimi fan, and the Marvel character he feels works best on screen as opposed to the pages would be Blade. Head on OVER HERE to read the full report on his panel, thanks to Coming Soon for pointing it out.
