Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess share a kiss on the poster for One Day

As a huge fan of Anne Hathaway and an admirer of the mug on Jim Sturgess, I’m really looking forward to their upcoming romantic film, ONE DAY.

A poster for the film debuted on Yahoo! Movies and it is lovely. Sure it looks rather simple and ordinary, but sometimes that’s just what you need. This is a poster I would put on my wall then wonder if it made me look “forever alone”.

ONE DAY was directed by Lone Scherfig who also did helming duties on AN EDUCATION. The film is due out in limited release on July 8th. Synopsis below.

Synopsis:

“Emma and Dexter meet on the night of their college graduation – July 15th, 1988. She is a working-class girl of principle and ambition who dreams of making the world a better place. He is a wealthy charmer who dreams that the world will be his playground. For the next two decades, every July 15th reveals to us how “Em” and “Dex” are faring, as their friendship ebbs and flows with the passing of the years. Through laughter and romance, heartbreak and exhilaration, they experience the grandeur of life. Somewhere along their journey, these two people realize that what they are searching and hoping for has been there for them all along.” The film is based on the novel from David Nicholls who also wrote the screenplay.
