Now this is a story I’m curious to see. Robert Pattinson will star in an adaptation of MISSION: BLACK LIST #1 by military interrogator Eric Maddox (with Davin Seay) “that details the true, inside story of the search for Saddam Hussein and the interrogator, Eric Maddox, who spearheaded his capture.” Adapted by Erik Jendresen (“Band of Brothers”) and to be directed by Frenchman Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire (JOHNNY MAD DOG), the project will be sold at Cannes Film Festival later this month.
Coupled with his upcoming turn in David Cronenberg’s incredible-looking COSMOPOLIS, MISSION: BLACKLIST seems to mark a significant shift in Robert Pattinson’s career. While it may have been the career he always wanted in the first place, the fact of the matter is that his presence in The Twilight Saga has coated him in such a thick layer of glitter that it’s going to take some truly great work to brush it all off.
Think Pattinson has it in him?
