Your friendly neighborhood Stan Lee is doing A-ok!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Last week, I received an email stating that Stan Lee had to cancel any future upcoming appearances at conventions. This depressed me. The guy that created many of my favorite comic book characters, and continued to keep the dream alive for future comic fans meant a lot to me. As much as one person you’ve never met can. I got to a point where I had to just black it out in my memory, delete the email, and hope that everything was okay.

Fortunately, it is.

Stan Lee released a statement to his fans letting them know why he had to cancel his appearances, and assured that he would be around for another 90-years to come:

Attention, Troops!

This is a dispatch sent from your beloved Generalissimo, directly from the center of Hollywood’s combat zone!

Now hear this! Your leader hath not deserted thee! In an effort to be more like my fellow Avenger, Tony Stark, I have had an electronic pace-maker placed near my heart to insure that I’ll be able to lead thee for another 90 years.

But fear thee not, my valiant warriors. I am in constant touch with our commanders in the field and victory shall soon be ours. Now I must end this dispatch and join my troops, for an army without a leader is like a day without a cameo!

What an amazing man. From all of us at JoBlo, we hope you get to feeling better! Excelsior!
