X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST has added some international flavor to its cast. Director Bryan Singer took to Twitter to welcome French thespian Omar Sy into the mutant fold:
Omar Sy is probably most famous for staring in the 2011 French comedy-drama THE INTOUCHABLES (also known as UNTOUCHABLE) that Singer mentions in his tweet. The film was a huge hit overseas (over $400 million) and an American remake is in the works. X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will be Omar Sy’s first English-language role, however who he will be playing in the film has not been released at this time.
I haven’t seen THE INTOUCHABLES but I’ve heard nothing but good things about the flick. The past ten years or so we’ve seen a massive expansion of theaters in foreign markets and with as much money THE INTOUCHABLES made it comes as no surprise to see Omar Sy cast in a big budget Hollywood movie.
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is in pre-production and is set to start filming next month. Is this the end of the casting news or do you think there are a couple of roles still left to fill?
