We've already gotten a peek at Keanu Reeves' MAN OF TAI CHI, but today we have a new full-length trailer for the martial arts film. Starring Tiger Hu Chen in his first feature film and featuring the choreography of the legendary Yuen Woo-Ping, who worked with Reeves on THE MATRIX trilogy. Reeves is taking on the villain role this time out and is joined in front of the camera with IP MAN's Simon Yam and THE RAID: REDEMPTION's Iko Uwais.
Fight!:
Here's the synopsis:
A young martial artist's unparalleled Tai Chi skills land him in a highly lucrative underworld fight club.
I think this looks like a lot of fun. It's got all the trimmings of a the martial arts genre, so there's not much new there, but it seems to have been done well. With the cast and crew involved, I'd expect nothing less of a fun and potentially exciting romp. It will be interesting to see if Reeves continues working both behind and in front of the camera from here on out, that's for sure.
MAN OF TAI CHI debuted in China this year, but does not yet have a U.S. release date.
