Listen to “Where No One Goes” from the How to Train Your Dragon 2 soundtrack

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 looks to expand on the scope and heart of the original movie in every way without straying from what made the first movie one of the best animated films of the decade. Fast-forwarding to the teenage years of the main characters, the sequel's trailer promises some epic flying and battle sequences and what looks like cutting edge animation. I was also excited to see that alongside the returning composer, John Powell, musician Jonsi was contributing a new song for the soundtrack.

Jonsi, the lead singer for Icelandic band Sigur Ros, performed the song "Sticks and Stones" for the first film. The song played over the end credits and was just a moving and great song. For the sequel, Jonsi has recorded the track "Where No One Goes" which you can listen to in the embed below. Like the trailer for the film, this new song is grander than his track for the first film but still has all the same emotional impact.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 looks to be one of the better productions from Dreamworks Animation and should be a great time at the movies for both kids and adults. I highly recommend you check out the first movie if you haven't already. Check out both of Jonsi's songs below along with the full tracklist for the film's soundtrack.
