Exclusive Interview with 22 Jump Street directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller

It’s already been a great year for Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and we’re only in mid-June. The two directors hit a career high in the winter with their terrific animated feature THE LEGO MOVIE – which very well might garner them Oscars – and now they’ve gone ahead and made 22 JUMP STREET just as good as the previous TV-to-film adaptation, which none of us thought would be that funny… but it was, and so is the sequel.

In the interview below, I speak to Miller and Lord about their exhausting schedule while making both JUMP STREET and THE LEGO MOVIE, coming back for the sequel, and what their plans are for the future. (Hint: it involves sleep.)
