Go into 70s style deep Space with the hilarious Space Station 76 trailer

With so many movies set in a futuristic version of space, it’s refreshing to see a movie that looks at deep space life in a 70s style. That’s what you get with SPACE STATION 76, Jack Plotnick’s feature directorial debut that follows a group of characters aboard a refueling station called Omega 76. Here's the film’s official synopsis:

Space Station 76 is a comedic drama about a group of people (and several robots) living on a space station in a 1970’s-version of the future. When a new Assistant Captain arrives, she inadvertently ignites tensions among the crew, prompting them to confront their darkest secrets. Barely contained lust, jealousy, and anger all bubble to the surface, becoming just as dangerous as the asteroid that’s heading right for them.

Plotnick is said to have developed the script through improvisation sessions at his home with some of his favorite actors. I can’t imagine getting what a time that must have been because judging from the fantastic first trailer we’re in for a lot of laughs. The clever nuances are so slight you might think you’re watching a Mike Judge movie – at least that was my first impression. I must say, Wilson certainly plays the bitter captain perfectly; as one of my favorite actors it’s great to see him in a solid looking comedy.
