Boardwalk Empire’s Jack Huston joins Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

After his phenomenal turn as fan favorite Richard Harrow on HBO’S BOARDWALK EMPIRE, everyone expected Jack Huston to become the next big thing in Hollywood. His name has been linked to roles in FRANKENSTEIN, James Bond, and even the role of Star-Lord that went to Chris Pratt in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. Instead, he has appeared in smaller roles in films like TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE, AMERICAN HUSTLE, and KILL YOUR DARLINGS. His next role will hopefully change that.

Huston has been cast as the villainous Wickham in the horror mash-up PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES which finally kicks off production in September under director Burr Steers and also features Lilly Collins, Sam Riley, and Bella Heathcote in leading roles. While Wickham may not be the lead role Huston deserves, it should definitely give him exposure to a wide audience.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES is based on the 2009 novel by Seth Grahame-Smith that kicked off a slew of classic novels mixed together with genre fiction. Some have not been as good as others, but this was a fun read that stayed incredibly true to the Jane Austen original while adding additional scenes of zombie carnage. The film adaptation has been stuck in development hell for the past six years but is now finally seeing the light of day.

Hopefully More folks will see how good Huston can be and that he carries on the family name shared with his aunt Angelica and his uncle Danny. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES currently has no release date but expect to see it sometime in 2015.
