It's about that time when word of THE CROW remake starts making the rounds. The latest comes from producer Ed Pressman (THE CROW, AMERICAN PSYCHO) who was in attendance at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival to receive a lifetime achievement award. Describing The Crow as an "anti-Spider-man", he stated that they were looking to start production in the spring of 2015.

Pressman's reasoning for the remake:

It still has a big fan base even though it was so long ago. But the generation today doesn’t even know The Crow.

It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since the first film was released and as much as I enjoy that flick, I am curious to see who they would get to direct and star in a remake (if it ever gets off the ground) The latest actor to have been tossed into the mix is Luke Evans, who's been tearing up the screen lately in DRACULA UNTOLD as the titular fanger. When Evans spoke about the project earlier this year, he seem fairly enthused. Despite that, Ed Pressman said no cast had been finalized at this time. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if they actually follow through with this come the springtime.

If you need your Luke Evans fix ASAP, DRACULA UNTOLD is now in theaters!
