THE LAST STARFIGHTER will always rank as one of the special movies from my childhood. With a scope limited by the special effects at the time, THE LAST STARFIGHTER looks incredibly dated 30 years since it was originally released and yet I love watching it each and every time. Full of cool aliens, funny dialogue, and the dream of playing a video game and becoming the savior of the galaxy, THE LAST STARFIGHTER is the epitome of what makes movies cool and fun.
As has been done with numerous other films, a fan has recut the original trailer for the movie with the style and tone of contemporary previews for films. Featuring a stirring musical score from Zach Hemsey, the guy who wrote the now iconic music from the INCEPTION trailer, this new trailer for THE LAST STARFIGHTER makes me want to pop it on TV right now.
