Exclusive 1:1 Interview: Insurgent Star Shailene Woodley!

Shailene Woodley is the real deal. This incredibly talented actress has a ton of indie cred with films like WHITE BIRD IN A BLIZZARD and THE SPECTACULAR NOW. She is also captivating teen audiences with THE FAULT IN OUR STARS and the young adult franchise THE DIVERGENT SERIES, with INSURGENT hitting theatres this coming Friday. And frankly, I have really grown to like these flicks. This second chapter is an intense and oftentimes smart and satisfying science fiction feature that will certainly please fans of the books.

As far as Woodley herself in concerned, this young woman is simply wonderful. She is bright, charming and one of the loveliest people I've had the opportunity to chat with. Before we even began the interview she invited me to do a few squats to keep the energy level up – sitting in that chair talking to press all day you need to get up and move around. During our conversation we discussed the new film, and how she kept active during the shoot which included lots of push ups. Ms. Woodley is pretty much one of the coolest people around… no wonder all the guys and gals dig her! Check out INSURGENT opening Thursday night at a theater near you!
