Every instinct I have is telling me that I should write off SAN ANDREAS as just another Roland Emmerich inspired piece of disaster porn and leave it at that but…I can't, I just can't, the power of Dwayne Johnson is too much.
Mr. Franchise Viagra himself stars in SAN ANDREAS as a rescue-chopper pilot who makes a dangerous journey across the state in order to rescue his estranged daughter in the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California. We're a little over a month away from the film's May 29th release date so it's about time that the marketing campaign kicked into gear with its first TV spot, check it out!
I can freely admit that I will give anything Dwayne Johnson does a chance and SAN ANDREAS looks like it has the potential to be a stupidly fun ride; plus the addition of Carla Gugino and Alexandra Daddario as his wife and daughter doesn't hurt things. Along with the TV spot, a brand new poster has been released in which Dwayne Johnson has apparently found something far more interesting than the destruction of a city to look at.
In addition to Dwayne Johnson, SAN ANDREAS also features Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Paul Giamatti, Ioan Gruffudd, and Kylie Minogue. The Brad Peyton directed film will be blowing out eardrums in theaters on May 29, 2015.
