The buddy movie has long been dominated by male cops and bromances and the like, but there are quite a few female-led buddy films out there ranging from dramas to actions to comedies and more. HOT PURSUIT starring Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon is the latest film in the genre and opens today. But, it got us thinking about all the movies released before it and of course that means it is time for a Top Ten!
The qualifications for a buddy movie means that the film has to feature close friends or the origin of a friendship over the course of the movie. Examples range from BRIDESMAIDS to A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN to 9 TO 5 and most recently THE HEAT.
