A Deadpool fan’s dream comes true thanks to Ryan Reynolds and Make-A-Wish

Well this is a lovely way to head into the weekend; Ryan Reynolds and the Make-A-Wish Foundation teamed up to grant a young fan's wish on the set of DEADPOOL. Tony Acevedo, who is battling Hodgkin's Disease, asked the Make-A-Wish Foundation if he could meet the real Deadpool and they definitely made good on that wish; not only did Tony get to hang out with Ryan Reynolds in costume, but he got to try on Deadpool's mask and gloves for himself.

 

Tony Acevedo asked Make A Wish Foundation if he could meet Deadpool. I wasn't expecting him to sneak the mask, put on the gloves, smile… and then beat Deadpool about the face, arms and jugular with blazing speed. Tony's next fight is with Hodgkin's Disease. Hodgkin's Disease best be wearing its brown pants. Huge thanks to @makeawishamerica

It's always nice to see celebrities take some time out to do things like this and this isn't even the first time Reynolds has granted a fan's wish on the DEADPOOL set. Just last week 15-year-old Calista King, who is fighting a brain tumor, not only got a walk-on role in the film, but she also went home with Deadpool’s sword.

 

15 yr old Calista King – World's greatest #deadpool fan – visited set yesterday. Sure, we put her in the film. Sure, I said a lot of terrible words around her. And her mother. And especially her grandmother. But more importantly, she left with Deadpool's sword. I can't think of a better person to have it.
