Spoiler: Sources may have solved who Jena Malone plays in Batman V Superman

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

After seeing the full trailer for BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, there have been more questions than answers as to just what we can expect from the first event film of 2016. But, even with five minutes of new footage revealed, there are still some characters we have yet to see on screen. One actor we haven't heard much about in a while is Jena Malone.

Back in October, rumors had Malone playing Robin alongside Ben Affleck's Batman but there was never any confirmation. Since then, Malone has played coy and we have been left to theorize and dream cast who she could be in the movie. Now that appears to have been solved. Keep in mind that despite the words "confirmed" and "exclusive" being bandied about, this is far from the truth until Warner Bros tells us so.

Latino Review claims to have exclusively confirmed via three different sources who Malone is playing in the movie and it is none other than Barbara Gordon. Since we know that BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE will focus on an older and grizzled Batman, Malone could be playing Batgirl or Barbara Gordon's later persona, Oracle.

Malone has just recently wrapped the final entry in THE HUNGER GAMES series and has a prior working relationship with BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE director Zack Snyder from their SUCKERPUNCH days. I cannot imagine Malone's part will be that significant in the film but will hopefully amount to more than just a cameo. If it turns out to be true, Malone could play a much bigger part in Ben Affleck's pending BATMAN solo film.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE opens March 25, 2016.
