Vin Diesel says XXX 3 will start production this December

Last year, Vin Diesel said he was going to shoot a Kojak movie before moving on to a third installment in the XXX series. However, it appears those plans have changed, as yesterday the actor announced on his Instagram that XXX 3 will begin filming next month in the Philippines. There's no word on who will direct or star alongside the Diesel, but the script was written by TERMINATOR SALVATION and THE GAME scribes John Brancato and Michael Ferris.

While the first movie received mixed reviews, it still grossed over $250 million worldwide. But the 2005 sequel XXX: STATE OF THE UNION starring Ice Cube bombed at the box office, and was panned by critics. Although I have almost no interest in seeing XXX 3, I might be inclined to check it out if the trailers look decent. Are you pumped for a third XXX movie?

Vin Diesel can be seen next in THE LAST WITCH HUNTER on October 23, 2015, and he'll also appear in Ang Lee's BILLY LYNN'S LONG HALFTIME WALK, which will be in theaters on November 11, 2016.
