Super powers and super villains take center stage in new Supergirl trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The latest addition to the booming market of superheroes on television will be Supergirl herself; CBS's Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El, biological cousin to Superman and one of the last surviving Kryptonians, who has been hiding her powers on Earth since she arrived years ago; however the time has finally come for her to be the hero she was always meant to be and Kara begins to embrace her superhuman abilities.

CBS has released a new trailer in anticipation of the series' October 26, 2015 debut which displays more than a few of Kara's abilities; check it out!

Supergirl's wall building vision can't be far behind. In addition to Melissa Benoist, the series includes Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw rounding out the main cast. Original Supergirl Helen Slater and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman's Dean Cain will be guest-starring as Kara's foster parents. There's definitely an audience for Supergirl but from what I've seen so far, I'm not a part of it. Those of you who are still on the fence can check out our own Paul Shirey's review of the pilot right here!

Once again, Supergirl will premiere on October 26, 2015. Will you be tuning in?
