Evan Peters teases bigger and better Quicksilver scene in X-Men: Apocalypse

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

One of the stand-out sequences of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST was when Quicksilver (Evan Peters) displayed his powers in a remarkable ultra slow-mo scene which had him saving the lives of Professor X (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). As Quicksilver will be a part of the upcoming X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, it's only natural that Bryan Singer would want to replicate that scene and, if Evan Peters is to believed, it will be even bigger and better than the first.

Evan Peters spoke with Collider and teased the film's new Quicksilver sequence.

Yeah, Quicksilver does his thing again, in the new film. It’s bigger, longer and more detailed. I think it’s an amazing sequence that they’ve put together. Just filming it, I was like, “Oh, my god!” I think we shot for 22 days of second unit, working on the sequence, which is amazing. It’s so cool to take that much time to make something like that really pop and really work. Knock on wood, I think it’s going to be a fun and enjoyable sequence for people to watch, with Quicksilver running around and doing his thing in slow-mo time. I hope people like it.

Evan Peters has previously teased what Quicksilver would be up to in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, saying "the story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him. It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world." The first teaser for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will debut with STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS on December 18th.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE opens on May 26, 2016.
