Sir Paul McCartney receives permission to come aboard Pirates 5

Another legendary rock star is joining the crew of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES.

With Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards already in the fold as Captain Jack Sparrow’s father, Sir Paul McCartney has signed up to be part of the band for this summer’s next PIRATES adventure.

Prinicipal photography had already wrapped on the film, but directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg decided to add an additional scene said to be built around one of the surviving Beatles. Now what that sequence entails or who McCartney ultimately plays remains a mystery, but… come on… As skepitcal as anyone might be about a fifth PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie, you can’t say you aren’t at least intrigued by a movie that’s cast Paul McCartney for some big-screen blockbuster action. I mean, it’s Paul McCartney…
