After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. CIVIL WAR has begun! In case you need help tracking the players on each team, check out the latest TV spot!
Given the fact that the cat's out of the bag, I'm a little surprised that a special mention wasn't thrown to Spider-Man at the end of this spot. That aside, CIVIL WAR is boasting a line-up that rivals even the latest AVENGERS film, so there's no doubts that Marvel has one of the most epic comic book films on hands. BATMAN V SUPERMAN divided audiences, so it'll be interesting to see how CIVIL WAR fares in a little over a month’s time. If you still need your CIVIL WAR fix, check out the international trailer below! Go Cap!
CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR opens in theaters on May 6, 2016.
