Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg will return for a Daddy’s Home sequel

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Do you remember that hilarious Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg comedy? The one with all the great quotes and the classic moments? Well, let's talk about the other one. DADDY'S HOME. This more family-friendly comedy following a stepdad (Ferrell) who has to contend his wife's biological father (Wahlberg) went off and made $250 million when you weren't looking. Now Paramount Pictures has gone off and signed up both Ferrell and Wahlberg for a sequel. Sean Anders and John Morris will return to write it (in case you were worried about that) and Anders will helm the sequel.

To be fair, I didn't see DADDY'S HOME. That picture struck me as a "Netflix" type of flick. Still, I LOVED the duo in THE OTHER GUYS so their chemistry together is undeniable. The sad fact is that THE OTHER GUYS probably came in about $70 million under what DADDY'S HOME was able to accomplish with half the budget, hence why we're seeing DADDY'S HOME 2. Anyone want to take any bets on this one opening next Christmas?

DADDY'S HOME is now available on Blu-ray/DVD.
