Suit up with the first image of the new Power Rangers armor

Now that we've met the cast of POWER RANGERS and had our first look at Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, it's time to finally check out the new and improved costumes that these tenacious teens will be donning. Straight from Entertainment Weekly is our first look at the Rangers' new suits, complete with barely-painted wooden crates for them to stand on!

It’s tricky finding a new language for a superhero costume. Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that’s not man-made. You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.

I see Lionsgate has decided to go with boob armor. That sure is…considerate? Comparisons from Iron Man to Halo are already being made, but really, how many directions can you really go with the classic Power Rangers suit design? In case you need a refresher course on the who's who of it, that's Becky G as the Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, and RJ Cyler (woot!) as the Blue Ranger. It's morphin' time…or something!
