While I think we can all agree that Idris Elba as The Gunslinger was an amazing casting choice, up until now we could only speculate on what one of the most badass men in cinema would look like brandishing a vest and some pistols. Thanks to Scott Wampler on Twitter, the guessing game ends today and we have our first look at Elba in costume (sans hat). Take a look!
The pictures and costume itself aren't anything extraordinary, but because THE DARK TOWER is such a huge project for Stephen King fans, I think a lot of folks will love this. That isn't to say that I'm not excited to see how this turns out! Given that I'm not familiar with the books, I'm rather itching to enter this film blind and see if what fans love about the books will be translated over the cinematic medium. Here's hoping!
THE DARK TOWER will hit theaters on February 17, 2017.
