Michael Bay's TRANSFORMERS franchise hasn't exactly received many glowing reviews from the critics of the world, but there's no denying that audiences seem to love Bay's high octane robot-on-robot action. The TRANSFORMERS franchise has grossed close to four billions dollars worldwide so far and with that amount of money rolling in, Paramount obviously wants to keep that train moving. The next installment of the TRANSFORMERS franchise will kick off production next month and Paramount has now announced the official title of the new film.

TRANSFORMERS 5 will now and forever be known as, drum roll, TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION star Mark Wahlberg will be returning as Cade Yaegar and he'll be joined by Isabela Moner and Jerrod Carmichael. Production on TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT will begin on June 6 in Detroit before moving on to various locations throughout the world.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT is set for a June 23, 2017 release.
