There are quite a number of actors out there who would love to be involved with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito is one of them. While promoting the upcoming Blu-ray release of THE JUNGLE BOOK, Esposito spoke with ComicBook and revealed that he's actually already turned down a role in a Marvel TV series in the hopes that he'll land a role in a future MCU movie.

I know the Marvel world exists on the Disney lot. I love those guys at Marvel. We've been trying to figure out how to collaborate on something. I'm hoping that it is something. They came to me with something for their television department, then I realized if I did that, I'd never be able to have that same character be in that film department. Once you're in a Marvel character in the television version, you have to stay in the particular character. They can't carry that over to film.

Crossovers in the Marvel TV series typically come from characters already established in the feature films, so it's understandable that Esposito would prefer to hold out. There are actors who have appeared in both the MCU movies and television in separate roles, Alfre Woodard being a recent example, having appeared in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR as well as taking on a main role the upcoming Luke Cage Netflix series. Should Giancarlo Esposito get the chance to appear in an MCU movie, which character do you think he'd be a good fit for?

THE JUNGLE BOOK will hit Blu-ray/DVD on August 30th.
