Set in 1879 Paris. An orphan girl dreams of becoming a ballerina and flees her rural Brittany for Paris, where she passes for someone else and accedes to the position of pupil at the Grand Opera house.
How about it? Is the dance craze infecting you yet? Will BALLERINA pull a BLACK SWAN and include some seriously dark and sexy elements? From what I understand, the directors are newbies in the realm of feature-film animation, so I’m curious as to how that’ll play out here. I do wish the movie looked different than the usual Pixar fare, but that’s kinda the norm these days.
BALLERINA opens in US theaters later this year.
