When I think of Jordan Peele (one-half of the hilarious Key & Peele) I don't necessarily think of tense horror thrillers, but it seems that he's set to give us just that with GET OUT, an upcoming horror flick which Peele wrote and directed. GET OUT stars Daniel Kaluuya (SICARIO) as Chris and Allison Williams as Rose (Girls), a couple traveling upstate to take part in the time-honoured tradition of meeting the girlfriend's parents (Catherine Keener and Bradley Whitford) for the first time. Chris initially writes off her family's overly accommodating and strange behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, "a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined." Although the trailer may give away a little more than it should, GET OUT looks to be surprisingly intense.

"How bad can it be?"

An official synopsis for GET OUT:

Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya, Sicario) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams, Girls), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy (Catherine Keener, Captain Phillips) and Dean (Bradley Whitford, The Cabin in the Woods). At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.

GET OUT will hit theaters on February 24, 2017.
