Created and written by Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror taps into our collective unease with the modern world and each stand-alone episode is a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia. Think Twilight Zone, except in our very near future. You can check out the first two seasons on Netflix (which I highly recommend), with the third season hitting later this month. Take a look at the following trailer for a tiny taste of what’s to come!
As you can see, the third season features an all-star cast including the likes of Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve, James Norton, Cherry Jones, Wyatt Russell, Alex Lawther, Jerome Flynn, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mackenzie Davis, Michael Kelly, Malachi Kirby, and Kelly McDonald, among others. The episodes themselves have been directed by Joe Wright (ATONEMENT), Dan Trachtenberg (10 CLOVERFIELD LANE), James Watkins (THE WOMAN IN BLACK), Owen Harris, Jacob Verbruggen (LONDON SPY) and James Hawes. If that's not enough to get you excited for a series, then I honestly don't know what is!
The third season of Black Mirror hits Netflix on October 21st.
