The beast is loose in first Okja international teaser

Topping 2013’s SNOWPIERCER will be no easy feat, but director Bong Joon-ho will attempt to do so with his upcoming man/beast tale, OKJA. The film is about a young girl (Seo Hyun An) who owns a massive creature named Okja as pet, and who then goes on a quest to find her companion after it disappears. The first international teaser for the film has just dropped featuring a very blonde Tilda Swinton, and shows off the face of an elephant-looking creature with brown eyes.

Aimed as a story about both the love and horror of the relationship between man and beast, OKJA could be interesting stuff. If you haven’t heard of it before the movie will be debuting on Netflix June 28, and features a terrific cast with the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, Lily Collins, Paul Dano, Giancarlo Esposito and Steven Yeun, and was written by Joon-ho and the very talented Jon Ronson (FRANK) This footage isn’t much to go on, and the exact look of the beast is still being kept under wraps, but at least we know Swinton will be playing the character with a similar kind of strange as her role in SNOWPIERCER. Oh, that Tilda Swinton!

OKJA premieres on Netflix in June 28.
