Save the galaxy, again, with a new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 TV spot

As movie fans, we're exposed to quite a lot of marketing over the course of a year. This constant exposure serves to hone our senses and allows us the benefit of an educated guess as to the quality of a film, but sometimes, those guesses can be dead wrong, such as my assumption that GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY wouldn't be anything special. For whatever reason, nothing about the James Gunn movie clicked for me, but I've never been more pleased to have been proven wrong. The film wound up being an incredible amount of fun and I certainly won't be making that same mistake with the upcoming sequel.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 looks to offer us more of what we loved from the first with a healthy helping of new characters, new worlds and new music to take it to the next level. Speaking of new, a brand-spankin' new TV spot has been released which gives us more of those galaxy saving idiots.

I'd imagine that there were plenty of people in my boots when the first GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY hit theaters, folks who weren't overly sure who these characters were or how they fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After the huge success which GUARDIANS enjoyed, expectations for the sequel are certainly much higher than they were the first time around, but if the results of a recent test-screening are to believed (where the sequel scored a perfect 100%), GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 may actually pull off the near-impossible.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
