Without a doubt, one of the highlights of San Diego Comic Con is having the opportunity to learn of more details regarding the status of upcoming television lineups. Today, Netflix and Marvel Television unveiled the panel scheduling and special events details surrounding their new and returning series.
When Marvel returns to the hallowed halls of the San Diego Convention Center, they'll be bringing INHUMANS, THE DEFENDERS, THE GIFTED, LEGION, and the animated MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN to the show. Their slate of presentations will begin on Thursday, July 20th, with a showcase concerning the second season of FX's LEGION, which will then be followed by an exclusive sneak peek at INHUMANS. Friday will then kick things off with an extended glimpse at Fox's THE GIFTED. After that, Marvel will bring out the big guns as Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones will arrive on the scene for a presentation on Netflix’s THE DEFENDERS. Closing the show on Saturday and Sunday will be Marvel Animation, who are set to bring new details and a sneak peek of the new MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN animated TV series.

THURSDAY, JULY 20
LEGION
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM in Ballroom 20
The fun launches at the Legion panel where cast and producers will have a lively discussion about Season 1 and what’s ahead for Season 2 of Legion!
MARVEL’S INHUMANS
6:15 PM – 7:15 PM in Ballroom 20
Marvel’s Royal Family storms into San Diego. Meet the cast and see exclusive footage from the show that will make television history, with the first two episodes premiering exclusively in IMAX® theaters for a two-week window beginning September 1. Then be sure to check out the full series starting September 29 on ABC.
FRIDAY, JULY 21
THE GIFTED

Join cast and producers as they give fans an exclusive extended first-look at The Gifted, Fall’s most anticipated new family adventure series!
MARVEL’S THE DEFENDERS

It’s time to roll out the “Web Carpet,” Spidey fans! Because you’re invited to the WORLD PREMIERE of Marvel Animation’s newest series, MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN! Face it, Tigers…this is the ONLY screening you need to see at Comic-Con!
You’ll also have a chance to meet the stars of your favorite Marvel Animation series at signing events at the Marvel booth (#2329) throughout the weekend.

In more San Diego Comic Con-related news, Netflix has announced that they'll be bringing Will Smith along with the cast of David Ayer's BRIGHT to the convention. In addition to BRIGHT, Netflix will also present panels for DEATH NOTE and STRANGER THINGS.

Thursday, July 20th
Bright and Death Note, 3:15 pm, Hall H, Ayer’s new movie Bright is set in an alternate present-day world where humans, orcs, elves and fairies have co-existed since the beginning of time. The director, Smith and castmembers Joel Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, Lucy Fry, and Edgar Ramirez will be on hand to discuss, as well as serve up exclusive footage. Death Note, is based on the Japanese manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. Director Adam Wingard and castmembers Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley, LaKetih Stanfield will be present.

Friday, July 21
Marvel’s The Defenders, 5:15pm in Hall H. All the Marvel heroes who had their owns shows on Netflix — Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Daredevil — finally team up. Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb and cast will offer up an exclusive look. If this is anything like what Marvel TV did with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at Comic-Con a few years ago, maybe attendees will get to see a sneak peek at the first episode of Defenders.
Saturday, July 22
Stranger Things season 2, 3:00pm in Hall H. Finally, a look at some never-before-seen-footage! Season 2 picks up in the chaotic aftermath of Will Beyer’s return to a world that will never be the same.
