Now that Peter Jackson has completed his epic Middle-Earth saga based upon J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings," where are we going to get our Tolkien fix? Well, it may not be Middle-Earth, but an upcoming biopic centering around the famed author is in the works with Nicholas Hoult (X-MEN: APOCALYPSE) set to play Tolkien himself.

Lily Collins (OKJA) is now set to join Nicholas Hoult in TOLKIEN as it has been reported that the actress is in talks to play Edith Bratt, Tolkien's great love and eventual wife who inspired the elven princess characters in the Lord of the Rings saga. The upcoming biopic will explore "the early life of novelist J.R.R. Tolkien as he finds love, friendship and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts. When the horrors of World War I envelope Tolkien's life, they threaten to tear this "fellowship" apart, and he questions the very meaning and purpose of his art. Instead Tolkien finds a way to use these experiences as inspiration for his famous works, among them The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy." Dome Karukoski is directing the project from a script by David Gleeson and Stephen Beresford.

Lily Collins was most recently seen in Bong Joon-ho's OKJA and also has a starring role on The Last Tycoon, which is loosely based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's book of the same name. Kelsey Grammer, Matt Bomer, Rosemarie DeWitt, Dominique McElligott, and Saul Rubinek also star in the Amazon series.
