Ryan Gosling searches for clues in new Blade Runner 2049 clip

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

My enthusiasm for BLADE RUNNER 2049 is reaching dangerous levels. I should really rein it in or I'm pretty much just setting myself up for disappointment. Unless…the film really is as amazing as I think it will be?! There I go again. Believe it or not, but we're now less than a month away from the release of Denis Villeneuve's much-anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott's classic sci-fi flick, and Warner Bros. has released a new clip from BLADE RUNNER 2049 which finds Agent K (Ryan Gosling) searching for clues amidst a ruined dumping ground which contains some sort of child slavery sweat-shop run by Lennie James' as-yet-unnamed character.

Even if BLADE RUNNER 2049 doesn't reach the heights it already has in my imagination, there's no denying that the film is going to look absolutely beautiful, with Roger Deakins (give this man an Oscar already!) taking charge of the cinematography and Villeneuve committing to getting as much in camera as possible before resorting to visual-effects. It's going to be epic. Finger's crossed.

BLADE RUNNER 2049 will hit theaters on October 6, 2017.
