Dino terror ensues in new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

After so many years of humans running away from the dinosaurs, the newest entry in the Jurassic franchise – JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM – finds the silly humans going to the island to SAVE the dinos. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard sure have a soft spot for the prehistoric animals, and in the new trailer, an all-new form of dinosaur terror is unleashed when they try to save them from a volcanic explosion. Just like always, everything goes wrong and monstrous creatures with big teeth are on the loose and are trying to eat everything and, apparently, steal the tooth from under a little girl's pillow.

Here is the plot synopsis

It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles. When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times. With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

This trailer is…yeah. I mean, what the hell is that dinosaur doing creeping up on that little girl? How did it even get in her room? Was it a nightmare sequence? Is that how the movie really ends? Anyway, other than the rocky start there's certainly a greater focus on the horror angles of the movie, showing off some more scenes of dinosaurs terrorizing people. I feel like another full trailer is needed to really showcase everything this movie has to offer, especially if Universal wants to get over my dislike of the first movie. Tick tock, Universal.
