If you thought life as it is couldn’t get any worse, just wait until you see the new trailer for the new season of A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS. The new preview is filled with so much dread as Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and Sunny embark on one perilous journey after another as they evade Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris). This time around they will encounter new faces, places, and mysteries, and each of them is more terrible than the last. What a horrible time to live.
There are several new additions to the cast include Lucy Punch, Nathan Fillion, Tony Hale, Robbie Amell, Sara Rue, Roger Bart, David Alan Grier and more. Some will be a guiding hand to the Baudelaires, while others have more dastardly plans.
The first season offered a great mixture of dark humor and broad silliness, which made for breezy, entertaining adaptations of the first four stories in Lemony Snicket’s series of books. The second season looks just as good, so I will definitely be tuning in. Actually, I lied about all those good things about the show. It’s all terrible, no-good, nauseating misery, all involving children in such dreadful scenarios. What bleakness this new season has to offer, I wonder.
A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS hits Netflix March 30.
